Before he was elated in an ambulance on route to Bangkok airport, his body was wrapped in the national flag as a tribute to his services to the country and the cricket. Warne has gathered 708 wickets from 145 Test matches, most by any Australian cricketer.

Citing the reasons for his death in an interview, Warne’s family stated he complained of chest pain before his trip to Thailand. Notably, he was found unresponsive in his Thailand villa and died of a sudden heart attack on 4th March. As revealed by his family, the greatest spinner of all time was on the liquid diet for the last 14 days.

Surprisingly, 12 hours before his death, Shane Warne posted a mourning tweet for his friend Rod Marsh, also a former cricketer, who also passed away due to a heart attack.
