Ramiz Raja told Misbah and Waqar to retire: Reports

The retirement decision of Pakistan’s bowling and head coaches, Waqar Younis and Misbah ul Haq looks forceful to the cricket fraternity as reports declare PCB’s likely to be chairman, Ramiz Raja, behind the chapter.

The verdict seems full of doubt, unquestionably being inappropriate following refraining from the roles just a few months before the big event.

“I’ve taken some strict decisions regarding the team management, please don’t mind,” Ramiz told Waqar according to the sources.

Social media is full of different synopsis over the situation as Misbah and Waqars’ statements look childish as they inform their ‘valid’ reasons looking more as ‘invalid’ for this decision.

Misbah said,

“Considering that I would have had to continue to spend considerable time away from my family and that too in a bio-secure environment, I have decided to step down from the role.”

“I understand that the timing may not be ideal, but I don’t think I am in the right frame of mind for the upcoming challenges, and it makes sense for someone fresh to step in and take the side forward.

Waqar said,

“After Misbah shared with me his decision and future plans, it was a straightforward one for me to resign as we had walked into the roles together, had worked collectively as a pair, and now also step down together.
