The MPA of Punjab, Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan, has claimed that Ramiz Raja will soon be removed as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Issuing a warning, he said either Raja quits his post on the moral grounds or the decision is to be announced officially in a few weeks.

Notably, Raja was elected chairman of the PCB in September 2019 during Imran Khan’s regime. However, since PTI is no longer in action, taken over by PMLN’s Shehbaz Shareef as the new prime minister of Pakistan major changes in the cricket panel have been expected since Shareef’s family take over.

It has been heard that Najam Sethi, who earlier acted as PCB chairman during the Shareefs regime, will once again be back in the action as per the choices of the PMLN party. It seems like Raja’s days are already over and he will get the governmental letter in the coming days.

PMLN threats to sack Ramiz Raja as PCB Chairman

Punjab’s PMA stated,

“He [Ramiz] should resign from his post on moral grounds. In fact, he should have resigned earlier as Imran Khan’s government was removed,” 

He continued that Raja would have been sacked earlier but the decision was delayed due to some internal issues.

“Our government had to face political crisis that’s why the decision regarding PCB chairman was delayed. But, you will see the decision in coming weeks,”
