The sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 6) is to resume from 9th June as the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has given a green signal to host the remaining matches of the incomplete extravaganza at Abu Dhabi.
Notably, PSL 2021 was called off due to multiple COVID bio-secure bubble breaches were spotted. Looking for a feasible window, the PCB at first booked National Stadium, Karachi but as stakeholders demanded to move the event out of the country amidst the virus surge in the country, no venue could have been preferable to the UAE.
Later, all the remaining exempts were cleared by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) giving a ‘go’ flag to commence the PSL 6. The PCB is now in conversation with the stakeholders to conder operational plans as the fans are cheering up to witness the matches by tomorrow.
It is pertinent to mention here that the event resumes by 9th June as Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars will take on each other. On the other hand, the final will be played on 24th June. The complete revised schedule is posted here in Pakistani Timing Standard (PST) and Canadian Timing Standard (EST):
