The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has requested the International Cricket Council (ICC) to reassess Mohammad Hasnain’s bowling action after a successful modification.
Hasnain, who was suspended from all forms of cricket following his ‘illegal’ bowling action, has been given green signals by the National High-Performance Center’s (NHPC) Umar Rasheed. However, a final call on if or not the pacer can bounce back to international cricket will be made by the ICC.
According to reports, the bowler, during the re-assession, bowled with his elbow under 15 Degrees, to successfully modify his bowling action. He was inspiring the masses in the Big Bash League (BBL 2021-22), however, the umpire noticed his action, which was further processed to be tested at the ICC-accredited centre.
The 22-year old was sent back to Pakistan as there is an ICC-accredited center in Lahore, or else, he would have been tested in Australia. The board made sure to rectify Hasnain’s style of appointing a bowling counsellor for him.
He experienced a Test for his bowling action reported by umpires at ICC-accredited biomechanics laboratory in Lahore following the umpires in the BBL 11 caught his action as ‘illegal’.
