The Pakistan Super League (PSL 6) is ready to recommence from 1st June in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the hosts’ government has given expositions on remaining exempts to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

In the lastly held virtual press conference between the six PSL franchises and the PCB, the board’s officials uttered that although UAE is eager to host the event, a few exemptions need clarifications which, if remains unresponded, might result in PSL 6 cancelation.

As per the recent PSL update, Wasim Khan, the CEO of the PCB, has spotted saying that they have received all outstanding approvals and exemptions from the United Arab Emirates government.

The CEO was delighted to give a green signal on resuming the HBL PSL 6 left undone after winding up only fourteen matches. The board earlier had no option but to postpone the league shortly amidst several COVID-19 breaches.

He added that,

We are delighted with this development as the remaining hurdles in the staging of the remaining HBL PSL 6 matches in Abu Dhabi have been overcome and all systems are now good to go.

It is pertinent to mention that the board is now in conversation with the team owners to decide on operational strategies and their implementations. The event is due to begin by 1st June with the final ready to take place on 20th June. The rest of the details will be shared in the meantime.

The PCB, in consultation with the team owners, will now work at pace to finalize all event-related arrangements, details of which will be shared in due course.
