
Lancashire Club has signed Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali for the County Season 2022 on Tuesday. The right-arm pacer will be donning the club’s jersey in six matches of the County Championship this season.
Hasan, one of the finest wicket-takers, will arrive at the Emirates Old Trafford on 1st April. He will make his County debut against kent on 14th April at Canterbury.
The bowler will be available till the team’s match versus Essex is scheduled to be played on 19th May at Old Trafford. Speaking on his first-ever experience with County Cricket, he stated,
“I am very excited at the prospect of playing county cricket in England for the first time in my career. Emirates Old Trafford is a stadium that holds special memories for me, after making my T20 International debut against England there in 2016.
“I am very proud to follow in the footsteps of Wasim Akram, a Pakistan legend, who always talks so highly of his time with Lancashire. I can’t wait to join up with the squad in April and I hope to make a significant contribution in the games that I play.”
Hasan made his Test debut for Pakistan in 2017 versus West Indies. So far, he has played 17 Test matches gathering 72 wickets at an economy of 3.03. The player made his T20I and ODI debuts in 2016 having 60 and 89 scalps in the formats respectively.
