Du Plessis lauds Azam Khan with praises
South Africa’s Faf De Plessis was spotted in an interview with Cricket Pakistan, where he heaped praises for the batsman, Azam Khan. Azam made his first PSL appearance last year during the league’s fifth season when his appealing fifty and some crucial runs went on-screen, justifying his potential.
Azam, the mid-order batter, is the son of former Pakistani wicketkeeping batsman Moin Khan. Recently, he has been named in the squads vs West Indies and England, which has become a matter of discussion amidst his weight. However, the lad has visibly been working to maintain his body posture.

He is all set to mark his attendance in the remainder of the PSL 6 that is due to begin by 9th July in Abu Dhabi. The Quetta Gladiators have recalled him in the additional player replacement draft as multiple players departed from their respective franchises amidst the COVID threats and flight issues.
Du Plessis says that Azam is a good hitter, although he has seen him in limited encounters. Just like everyone, the Proteas remembers his fifty from PSL 5 against Islamabad United. The batter reckons that he will keep an eye on the young lad to testify his talent. Notably, Du Plessis will be playing as Azam’s mate for the Gladiators.
Du Plessis lauds Azam Khan with praises
“Azam Khan is a good hitter. I haven’t seen much of him since I have just played a couple of games. I think he got that one fifty there towards the end of the competition. He has definitely got a lot of power and he takes the ball on. It will be interesting to keep an eye on him to see what he does in this last leg of the tournament. He will be very driven to do well in this last leg,”
