Indian Cricket Team will once again follow their tradition to stay separately from other teams throughout their stay in the UAE for Asia Cup 2022. Where the rest of the five teams, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka, stay in a hotel, team India will stay in a five-star resort in Dubai.
Earlier, during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, they followed the same tradition, staying separately from other teams. However, these unnecessary traditions are not followed when it comes to the Indian Premier League (IPL). All ten teams stayed together in the same hotel during the last season. They have been managing eight teams previously at the same place.
Notably, all the arrangements for the Asia Cup are managed by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The secretary of the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), Jay Shah, is ACC’s president. Which means, team India gets extra perks and their stay alongside other teams is not adored by BCCI.
Team India training hours are set for the evening following extremely hot weather in Dubai. The second session takes place after sunset. They will kick stat their Asia Cup 2022 campaign against Pakistan on August 28th at Dubai International Stadium.
