The remaining matches of the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) are to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) between September and October. The news was confirmed by the Board of Control Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier, there were no speculations about recommending the IPL 2021 in the UAE as the Indian board faced logistical issues due to the busy cricket windows this year. Although, the sudden news tent to shock everyone with the event resuming normally.
Notably, Pakistan will combat Afghanistan as the PCB confirms the series with them by early September. After the Pak vs Afg series, the men in green will stay in the UAE to face New Zealand as per the FTP curriculum. In short, the UAE had promised its venues to ICC from 1st October until the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 gets finished by the year’s end. Hence, the U-turn suddenly giving a feasible window to IPL is astonishing.
