Quetta Gladiators’ bowler Sohail Tanvir and Peshawar Zalmi’s batter Ben Cutting were engaged in a physically heated argument on-field during QG vs PZ Tuesday’s encounter of the PSL 2022.
After the Australian-origin batter slammed three back-to-back sixes to the Pakistani pacer, he showed middle-fingers of both hands to Sohail. The bowler did not entertain the action as the duo was seen engaged in banter that was stopped somehow.
Sohail must have waited for the moment to revenge Cutting as he celebrated batsman’s wicket with the very same gesture. Sohail took an easy catch on Naseem Shah’s delivery and bid farewell to Cutting with two middle fingers.
The incident has not newly popped up but is rooted back to the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2022). During the encounter between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Sohail dismissed Cutting and showed middle finger to the batter.
As the Australian cricketer was anticipating the revenge for years, he exploded during QG vs PZ match on Tuesday.
As a consequence, the match referee is likely to announce some punishment for both.
