Mihir Patel is one of the brightest upcoming stars of Canadian Cricket. He has worked his way up in the big leagues at an early age. Patel, who hails from Markham, Ont. , is currently enrolled in Markham District High School. Cricket was not new to Patel as his family had been ardent followers of the sport.
He started his formal coaching at Toronto Cricket Academy when he was just 8 years old. He has been showing some exceptional performance since then. He was selected in the provincial team (Cricket Ontario) when he was 13. And shortly at the age of 15, he scored a massive ton to announce his arrival at this stage.
Patel became the youngest player to play for Canada U19 in the ICC Cricket World Cup, 2020. His impressive knock of 90 vs the United Arab Emirates stood out and impressed everyone, on and off the field. Currently, he is playing for various teams such as Actionzone Cricket Academy and Centurions cricket club in Toronto District Association League in Canada. Patel has been in the tremendous form of late and he is seen as one of the most technically sound batsmen who demonstrates his strength against mighty opponents. It won’t take much time from this point for Patel to enter into the national team.
