Kane Williamson beats Steve Smith in ICC Test rankings
Kane Williamson has once again become the ranked number one Test player as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has updated the chart today.
The Black caps’ skipper has surpassed Australia’s Steve Smith developing a lead by 10 points. Kane, following his lastly concluded performance versus India in the final of the ICC Test Championship has pushed him up on the rank table.
He scored 49 and 52 not out and now secures over 900 marks leaving Smith on the second spot with 891 points. Williamson first became the ranked number, one Test batsman, in 2015. Two weeks ago, he lost the position to Smith but now has regained the spot.
