He says that he does not want to be the team skipper without having his point of view. According to a reliable source, Babar wants to present his views and have his say to implement but PCB does not let him participate in the decision-making despite Babar being a captain.

Babar reveals that he wanted Haris Sohail to be in the ODI squad but PCB did not let it happen. Other than that, the captain wanted Yasir Shah in the Test squad but once again the selection committee turned him down.

Babar added that there should be consistency in the selection. As everyone witnessed, many players were dropped from the team without their performances being analyzed – Kamran Ghulam is the example who got selected in the squad against NZ. He did not play a single game and has not been selected for the next squad.

The team captain added that there should be proper chances for one to prove their worth and performance despite dropping them straight away. He wants the team to be a combination of senior and junior players rather than picking youngsters on behalf of two-three matches’ performances.

As the world cup is near, Babar demands PCB to stick on one team combination rather than experimenting with multiples within a shorter duration.
